Akansha RukhaiyarPublished on Dec 31, 2024Can your life path number dictate your side hustle? If you believe in numerology, would you pick side hustles based on "lucky numbers"? Check out some side hustles based on your life path number. If you’re looking to earn some extra income in addition to your primary job, you might want to experiment on the basis of numerology. If you have taken a career assessment in school, you know how off-base those quizzes can sometimes be. The generic assumptions about your personality, the suggested nudge towards a career in culinary arts when your presence in the kitchen counts as a fire hazard, or the encouragement towards the role of a data analyst when the only thing you know about pivot (tables) is the reference from F.R.I.E.N.D.S.And yet, sometimes, we can indulge ourselves by considering life choices based on rationale we may not fully understand. Identifying side hustles based on numerology can be one such exercise. Finding new avenues based on astrology, numerology, or even tarot card readings can be almost assuring if the job market is stressing you out. However, these assessments must be dealt with caution instead of considering them as absolute truths (and thus be a victim of the Barnum Effect). Designing your entire life around a phenomenon that isn’t rooted in science is not ideal, especially if it involves shaming someone for being a specific zodiac sign or having a “non-compatible” life path number.Instead of gauging whether you’re in the right profession based on numerology, why not start by checking which side hustle might match your life path number? Here’s a quick guide to get you started:How do you calculate your life path number?Write your date of birth in dd/mm/yyyy format. Add up all the digits. If the number exceeds 9, then add the digits of this new number. Keep doing this until you hit a single digit. So, for example, if your birthday is 27/09/1998, your life path number would be 2+7+0+9+1+9+9+8, which is 45. And 4 + 5 = 9. So your life path number would be 9.You can also add up the digits in your date, month, and year separately then add them together. So for 27/09/1998, it would be (2+7) + (0+9) + (1 + 9 + 9 + 8). That adds up to 9 + 9 + 27, which is 45, and 4 + 5 = 9.The result will be the same, no matter which method you pick.Like with almost all mathematical rules, this one has a couple of exceptions. If the digits in your birth date, month, and year add up to 11, 22, 33, or 44 (master numbers), you do not have to add these digits to arrive at a single digit. No 9-to-5 for 9s and 5s?Just like with zodiac personalities, each life path number is associated with certain qualities in an individual. However, even if you are destined to follow the side hustle listed for your life path number, you will need the required qualifications along with some passion and interest too. Here are some potential side hustles based on your life path numbers.Number 1Those with 1 as their life path number are considered natural leaders.
