Among the many lessons we learnt during the pandemic, one was to be more mindful of what we consume and how much we consume. The conversations around sustainability and excess consumerism turned many millennials and Gen-Zs away from fast fashion brands, compelling them to consider alternatives like thrifting and re-selling. At a global level, the secondhand market is expected to grow 127 per cent by 2026, according to ThreadUp’s 2022 Resale Report. In India, too, we saw a host of thrift shops pop up on Instagram during the course of the pandemic that offered one-of-a-kind pieces to add value to your closet. If you are thinking of making the switch to buying more pre-loved pieces, these shops offer some of the coolest collections of clothing and accessories we’ve seen on the ‘gram.
