Lightweight yet hydrating, these body lotions feel like they were formulated for the summer

These body lotions provide a high dose of nourishment without feeling sticky

Lightweight yet hydrating, these body lotions feel like they were formulated for the summer

Come summer and we brace ourselves for the agony our skin is about to go through—we know it will be susceptible to redness, irritation, prickly heat, and sunburns. What we often tend to ignore is the dryness that increased heat can bring along. Owing to the humidity, we’re largely in air-conditioned rooms or might want to go swimming. This, in turn, can damage the skin barrier, leaving it dry, itchy, and irritated. In some cases, direct exposure to the sun can trigger allergic reactions, leading to hives or augmented sensitivity in the skin. While you shouldn’t skimp on hydration and moisturisation, even in the summer, heavy, thick body creams may not be the ideal choice for the warmer months. We put together a list of some of the best lightweight body lotions on the market.

Apricot Kernel Oil Body Lotion, Pahadi Local

This lightweight and gentle body lotion, formulated with bare minimum yet effective ingredients such as apricot kernel oil, shea butter, glycerin, and patchouli, ensures quick absorption and a non-sticky finish.

Body Milk with Coconut and Ceramides, 82°E

Loaded with skin-friendly ingredients like coconut water, ceramides, panthenol, lactic acid, niacinamide, sunflower sprout extract, and glycerin, this body lotion also offers SPF 20 PA ++, making it a great choice for hot days. This body lotion hydrates and calms the skin without leaving any white cast or greasy finish.
