Google's New Try-On AI Tool
Google recently introduced a new feature that enables users to try on clothes virtually. This feature uses a generative AI model that produces realistic images of models with diverse body shapes and sizes. The models' clothing displays details such as draping, folding, stretching, and wrinkling, making them look lifelike. A Future Instagram AI Chat Bot?
Leaked images by Alessandro Paluzzion Twitter suggest that Instagram may be developing an AI chatbot. The chatbot would offer users the option to choose from 30 different AI personalities to provide advice and answer questions. The specifics of the AI model used and the chatbot's functions remain unknown, and Instagram has yet to confirm or deny these rumours. Mercedes Adds ChatGPT To In-Car Voice Control
Mercedes-Benz has partnered with Microsoft's Azure OpenAI Service to incorporate ChatGPT into their in-car voice assistant. This integration will enable users to have natural conversations and ask follow-up questions, making the "Hey Mercedes" voice assistant more efficient. Mercedes also considers using ChatGPT plugins to make restaurant reservations and book movie tickets. EU Passes AI Regulation Draft Law
The European Union (EU) has taken a significant step towards regulating AI with the approval of the AI Act by the European Parliament. The law's final version will now be discussed among the EU branches to reach a consensus by the end of the year. Notably, the legislation includes requirements for pre-market assessments of generative AI systems such as ChatGPT and suggests a ban on real-time facial recognition technology.
