From a mysterious disappearance to the OTT debut of a beloved yesteryear actress, this month's list has a little bit of everything.
If you've nearly exhausted everything OTT platforms have to offer (which is understandable), fear not: the popular streaming platforms in India are adding a slew of new films, TV shows, and documentaries this March. Most of us can't wait to watch veteran actor Sharmila Tagore back in action, this time on a mobile screen, as she makes her OTT debut with Gulmohar. Some, meanwhile, are waiting to unravel the mystery surrounding the unexplained disappearance of flight MH370 (a new Netflix docuseries has more on that). There's also a book-to-screen adaptation that details the meteoric rise of a scrappy band from America's Pittsburgh and how a chance meeting with an up-and-coming songstress would change their trajectory forever.
Here's what's going to dominate our OTT screens this month:

Gulmohar
Rahul V Chittella's Hindi-language film revolves around the redevelopment of Gulmohar, a house in New Delhi where the Batras have lived for generations. When the family gathers for one last celebration, the Batra matriarch makes a casual announcement that shakes the crowd.
Soon enough, other family secrets start to tumble out as the clan crams its numerous possessions into packing cartons. Kusum (Sharmila Tagore), her son Arun (Manoj Bajpayee), Arun's wife Indu (Simran), and their son Aditya (Suraj Sharma) grapple with the consequences of what has been said and what remains to be revealed over the movie's runtime.

Rana Naidu
Who do you call when you need to escape a sticky situation? All roads in March seem to lead to Rana Naidu—a fixer of sorts, the go-to problem solver for the rich and famous. But when his father is released from jail, the one mess he can't handle may be his own. Dig a little deeper, and this series, starring Venkatesh Daggubati, Rana Daggubati and Surveen Chawla, poses an important question: when it comes to family, is empathy a strength or weakness?

MH370: The Plane That Disappeared
If a docuseries is what you’re currently leaning towards, this one looks promising. MH370: The Plane That Disappeared is a three-part documentary series about the 2014 disappearance of a Malaysian Airlines flight carrying 239 people. The flight is never said to have arrived at its destination because it vanished somewhere mid-flight. Experts believe it last communicated with air traffic control over the South China Sea after taking off. Following months of searching, the Malaysian government concluded that all passengers onboard were dead. Following the plane's disappearance, several theories emerged. While some believe it was hijacked, others believe it was shot down.

Money Shot: The Pornhub Story
The Internet is a vast battleground where billions of dollars are exchanged each year for various forms of media. Some statistics claim that there are over two million porn sites on the Internet today, which you may not be aware of. However, Pornhub has the highest site viewership, with a billion visits in 2019 alone. This docufilm examines the successes and scandals of Pornhub as told through interviews with former employees, activists and performers.

Daisy Jones & the Six
Based on the New York Times’ best-selling novel, this new ten-episode series follows the story of a band from the 1970s fronted by two feuding yet charismatic lead singers, Daisy Jones and Billy Dunne. Set to the soundtrack of original music, it tells the tale of how this iconic band imploded at the height of its powers. Thanks to Riley Keough's spot-on portrayal of lead singer Daisy Jones, it hits all the right notes. We recommend reading the book before watching the series for the whole undiluted experience.
