From the Night Series Maybachs to the Defender 130, the month of May has brought us options as huge as your wallet can extend. Here's our round-up of the biggest in the luxury auto segment for May.

Land Rover Defender 130Alongside Bond’s choice of an off-roading car, the crowd favourite pick of Land Rover’s Defender has grown longer with the 130 model. The new 130 externally is similar to the Defender 90 and 110, and takes its name from the original Defender family, drawing inspiration to become the longest model in the line-up. The car design enables customers to comfortably transport up to eight individuals over any type of terrain. The 130 showcases the incredible versatility and capabilities of the Defender in the most impressive way possible. Fun fact: The new Defender 130 can find and navigate any area of three square metres  on the planet, without the need for a phone signal, using the advanced Pivi Pro infotainment system and the what3words navigation. INR 1.30 crore onwards

The Night Series includes three models: The Mercedes-Maybach versions of the EQS SUV, the S-Class, and the GLS. Each car is unique and lavish, going beyond traditional boundaries and creating an unforgettable experience for anyone who not only drives them but also admires from a distance.The Night Series exudes luxury and style. These vehicles’ dark chrome accents and surfaces gleam like jewels when light hits them. The interior is crafted with great attention to detail, showcasing herringbone accents and captivating ambient lighting. The exterior is boldly designed, with dark chrome and rose gold details, and a unique wheel design highlights the Maybach pattern. The overall look and feel of the Night Series creates a sense of refined rebellion with a stunningly sophisticated colour palette.The Night Series package will be purchasable for the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class soon. It will be available for the Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV alongside its market introduction, followed by the Mercedes-Maybach GLS in early 2024. However, if you want to experience merchandise inspired by the Night Series, there is a partner company on board that will make bags, eyewear and sneakers in the near future.

The Next generation BMW 5 seriesThe iconic BMW 5 Series Sedan enters its eighth generation breaking free from its traditional confines. Moreover, the all-electric BMW i5 is a symbol of sustainable luxury, marking the dawn of a new era for the upper-mid-range vehicle segment. For the traditionalists, the facelifted 5 series will also be available in the petrol, diesel and hybrid variants featuring this modern avatar. The BMW 5 Series, i5 will come to India in a LWB variant. INR: TBA

The Next generation BMW 5 series

The iconic BMW 5 Series Sedan enters its eighth generation breaking free from its traditional confines. Moreover, the all-electric BMW i5 is a symbol of sustainable luxury, marking the dawn of a new era for the upper-mid-range vehicle segment.

For the traditionalists, the facelifted 5 series will also be available in the petrol, diesel and hybrid variants featuring this modern avatar. The BMW 5 Series, i5 will come to India in a LWB variant.

McLaren ArturaLast year, McLaren started its operations in India, and has now  expanded its line-up to include the Artura.
